This website (HeritageJersey.org) is owned and operated by Heritage Jersey Organization, Inc. (HJO). HJO maintains this site as a service to its visitors and customers, subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Use”). When you use HeritageJersey.org, you accept the Terms of Use; if you do not agree to the Terms of Use do not use HeritageJersey.org.

HJO reserves the right to modify content on HeritageJersey.org and in these Terms of Use periodically without prior notice.

Under no circumstances shall HJO or any other party involved in creating, producing, or distributing HeritageJersey.org be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to use HeritageJersey.org, including but not limited to reliance by a User on any information obtained from HJO or that result from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files or email, errors, defects, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance, whether or not resulting from acts of God, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to HJO’s records, programs, or services. User hereby acknowledges that this paragraph shall apply to all content, merchandise, and services available through HJO and HeritageJersey.org. Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Heritage Jersey Organization Chatroom Policies

You must register in accordance with the instructions in order to post on the Heritage Jersey Organization Chatroom (the “Chatroom”). By registering, you agree to comply with these Policies and any other terms and conditions set forth on this site.

In this cyber age of long-distance relationships, it’s easy to type words that aren’t as pleasant and thoughtful as they’d be if we were face to face. For us, it’s all about connection with each other. We share interests while being friendly, polite, and well-mannered to each other. We support each other, not tear each other down.

So before you start a topic or reply to a topic, read over your words carefully. Do they exhibit old-fashioned politeness and respect? Be careful using generalizations. You are urged to be cautious with hot topics, like politics and religion. Cow lovers are from all walks of life. All are welcome on our Chatroom. Every posting on the Chatroom should exhibit good manners. Emily Post writes, “Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others. If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter what fork you use.” Remember your manners and be tolerant, kind, gentle, and considerate as you “chat.” We invite you to join a different forum if you need to be combative or defensive or argumentative.

You may not post on our Chatroom, or send to any other Chatroom user, any material that is abusive, vulgar, threatening, harassing, libelous, defamatory, obscene, that invades a person's privacy, violates any intellectual or other property rights, or that would otherwise violate any law. You may not post material known to be false.

By posting on our Chatroom, you grant (or warrant that the owner of such rights has expressly granted) the Heritage Jersey Organization (and/or relevant affiliated companies) the worldwide, perpetual, nonexclusive right to use your questions, comments, and postings in their original or edited form, in books, articles, commentaries, or in any other medium now known or later developed. You also warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content you have posted and that the public posting and use of such content by us will not infringe the rights of any third party. Additionally, you warrant that any "moral rights" in posted materials have been waived. You are not entitled to any compensation for any materials you post on our Chatroom.

The information contained in or made available through our Chatroom cannot replace or substitute for the services of trained professionals in any field, including, but not limited to, financial, medical, or legal matters. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, special, exemplary, or other damages that may result, including but not limited to economic loss, injury, illness, or death.

The Heritage Jersey Organization is not a party to, and does not monitor in any way, transactions between users. We do not endorse, warrant, or guarantee any products or services offered on our Chatroom by users. Please exercise sound common sense in your barters, swaps, and business dealings with other Chatroom users.

The Heritage Jersey Organization is not responsible for material appearing on the Chatroom. Users are solely responsible for the content of their messages or postings. The Heritage Jersey Organization is not responsible for screening material posted by users for libel, obscenity, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark infringement, accuracy, or for any other reason.

We retain, however, the right to reject, modify, or remove messages or other material that we, in our sole discretion, consider infringing, offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene, stale, or otherwise unacceptable. We also reserve the right to edit materials for any other reason. Whether or not we modify or remove such material, users remain solely responsible for the content of their messages or postings. At our sole discretion, we may suspend or terminate the registration of any Chatroom user who violates any of these Policies, any other terms and conditions of use, or for any other behavior that we in our discretion believe is inappropriate or exhibits bad manners.
