I had the WSU vet team out this morning for vaccinations, mineral panels, and testing for Brucellosis, TB, Johne's BVD, BLV, and Q fever. While they were here, I had them give me a brush-up on doing a tail bleed. I think I've got it this time, yanno, tricks of the trade revealed!

should have looked this up earlier ;> we drew blood from bea monday night to do a pregnancy check. it was as easy as pie, but now we know why they have us non-vets use the tail area - it bleeds easily, and bleeds, and bleeds, and bleeds... i wanted to put a harry potter bandaid on her tail but lover boy wouldn't let me. |
