Great book! And one that you'll reference again and again and again. Thank you, MaryJane, for writing it. |

MaryJane, I already have a cheese making book, but I'd love a great swiss cheese recipe. Did you publish a good (tride and true) Swiss Cheese Recipe in this book? It's a beautiful book. You have a way with photos. Is there a way to view sections of the book, or the table of contents? |

I'm not MaryJane :-), but I can tell you that there is a Swiss cheese recipe in her Milk Cow Kitchen book! Great photos of the process and clear directions. It is a recipe that makes 2 to 2 1/2 lbs of Swiss cheese. |

I'm not MaryJane either, but you can't go wrong with her book. Like Charlene said, MaryJane has a Swiss cheese recipe in her book along with many other cheese recipes. I've made the swiss cheese from her recipe in her book and we love it. The book is informative and instructional and easy to follow recipes. I wouldn't be without it, or two or three. :) |

I am rather fond of Ethan :-) I hope he is working very hard for you. He sure enjoys your cows, though! Sending one home with him tomorrow would be great. Thank you. Then he'll have a copy and I will have one as well. :-) |

Just ordered mine, today. I'm looking forward to the Swiss Cheese recipe (and more) as well as how to use a regular refrigerator to age cheese! This should be wonderful. I can't wait! |

Mary Jane, I ordered your book, today and I also made a special request with my Milk Cow Kitchen order. I was hoping that maybe you could autograph a copy of your, "Moo-n Over Main Street Metropolis" book, for my granddaughter, Kendall. If you can, that's great. If not, that's fine too! |

I still need a second copy, please, MaryJane. Ethan has taken over my previous signed copy. :-) He is amazed at all the great info he keeps discovering in your book. And I'm afraid I will not get it back. |

I cannot believe this, but I'd actually like to order another copy of your book, MaryJane. I definitely need one on my cookbook shelf and I still want my copy by my reading chair. Let me know the best way to go about getting a second copy. Thank you!

charlene can you believe i have been to idaho and back TWICE this year and didn't get my book autographed by the miss mary jane! how silly is that? it just never occurred to me at the time. i guess i'll have to follow your lead and get another book or two straight from the source, autographed of course! |

Does this mean you just have to come back to visit Idaho for a third time? You know that the third time is the charm! And, when you do get an autographed copy of the book, ask for it personalized ... For Sally O'Malley, of course! :-)
I am enjoying having two copies ... one for my kitchen and one for reading at night. |

So, I'd like to know which part of MaryJane's book is everyone's favorite part or section. Which part really grabbed your attention when you first read it?
When I very first read it, the "how to milk" really stood out for me. It was probably because it was still a mystery for me as we had never milked any cows on our mini-farm. The other thing that also really struck me were the stunning pictures throughout the book ... photographs of the actual process whether it be cooking, milking, cleaning up poo, etc.
Your favorites? |
