Hi, everyone! I am new to this group. We live on a small family farm in Kansas. We have one Jersey at the moment. I traveled to OR to get her. She is a registered jersey certified A2/A2. I am looking forward to getting her registered here too. I just purchased some Samson Semen and am looking forward to a beautiful experience.

I love to milk our cow, make cheese, and other dairy products. I am passionate about my milk cows, chickens, and gardening. I love learning natural and organic methods.

My husband delivers organic food across the country doing the Logistics for Azure Standard.

We have 11 children. 8 boys and three girls. I also have my fourth grandbaby on the way expected to arrive in Nov. this year. I think that's it about me. I look forward to getting to know you all more.

I used to do Google Chrome, but now I find that a lot of sites don't support it. I've had really good luck with Firefox for my Apple computer.

he he he. many, many years ago when i first got MJF mag i thought you were in Iowa and wanted to take my mom to your b&b ;> it took me awhile to realize that you were NW and not anywhere near Iowa ;>

silly me.

Don't ya just love computers? Mine did more email poofing/gone today. I've also been switched over from Internet Explorer to Chrome. Dreadful. Since I'm one with computer sharp-shooters these days, I will ask why you wouldn't be able to go to Azure. Seems odd.

Cindy, it's not the first time Idaho was Iowa (happens more than you'd think). It's kind of like AL and Alaska. I met a woman once who said when I told her I was from Idaho, "Beautiful country. I have a sister in Illinois."

I've heard and seen a lot of good things about Azure Standard, but it's the only web site that won't let me connect. I've tried everything short of calling my IP to see if they can figure it out. Don't have that problem with any other site.

Welcome, welcome! It sounds like you have lots of experience in all sorts of things that will fit in just right around here. I just got some goodies from Azure Standard as well. In fact that's where I'm getting my apple cider vinegar and kelp for my animals. I think you are right to be expecting a beautiful experience, but one with many challenges as well. Milking cows keeps the brain sharp for sure, and relaxed as well.

yes, ladies i am continuing this 4am work thing - and i can tell you it does wonders at reducing the to do list but sure does wonders to the brain as well... and NOT in a good way!

the funny thing is that i realized that on my own and came to correct it BEFORE anyone saw the error ;>

you too are on top of it!

Welcome mrsjosephwood! Nice to meet you on the chatroom and looking forward to your experiences with all things cow, garden, chicken and family. Yes, Iowa?, Cindy must be having one of those days too. ;) And MaryJane has the cutest little milkmaids!

greetings from east texas mrsjosephwood! you have at least one southern cohort here. we bought our cow from iowa idaho (brain is dead apparently) and hope to utilize mjf semen at some point - we just need to get our little breeding act together.

(i have to now take a moment and fess up that i first wrote "mary jane semen" and then realized that just sounded so wrong).

welcome to this great neighborhood, the ladies and gents here are just wonderful and so helpful. and we are azure orderers so express our appreciation to your hubby for his work there.

Welcome, WELCOME MrsJosephWood! When I told my SIL, Lucas, you'd posted and that your husband is part of Azure Standard, he said he was just getting ready to send Azure something. We're big fans of Azure and have been buying from them for years. We're so very pleased to have you join us here. Oh my, the stories you could tell with 11 children! And one cow:)

Don't we love our grandchildren?! Here are two of my grandgirls milking Miss Daisy.
