Posted - May 12 2021 : 2:56:24 PM Hi everyone, We want to share some of the love of our milk cow community. We received this message from a milk-cow-friend and have sent her a gift of our Milk Cow Kitchen book so she may continue the farming venture:
"Good Afternoon. I just wanted to share how much I loved my Milk Cow Kitchen book. It was a gift to me and I used it all the time. I was milking two cows and had lots of milk. My book was destroyed in a fire along with most of my cheese equipment and all household goods. I hope to purchase another as I am finally back to farming. I am anxious to try it out with my first ever full blood Jersey and my Holstein Jersey cross. I was gifted your Wild Bread and Cast Iron Kitchen just starting to use them. Thank you for all you do to teach and share. --Teri Swenson Jacksonville, Alabama"

Posted - Oct 15 2014 : 04:42:34 AM All I know is it's the best book out there on Milking, Health of cows, Birthing of calves, Nutrition, you name it she,(MaryJane) covers it. I will have mine wore out before the year is up, that's how much I rely on it. It is the absolute best book out there to help anyone wanting to have a milk cow and become a milkmaid/man. It gets high honors in my opinion. The recipes and other tips are an added bonus for sure. Cheesemaking, on and on. She covers it all. Wonderful book, invaluable to me! |
