Posted - Dec 11 2015 : 04:18:21 AM As many of you know, we have Jerseys and raise and train farmstead cows to sell. We have been using Dutch Belted semen due to the breed being more suited to grass-based dairying than some of the highly promoted Jersey genetics. It's also a very endangered breed which we are now helping to keep it alive. As a result, we now have a really nice Dutch Belted/Jersey bull prospect for sale. He's out of a 47" registered Jersey cow with extremely good genetics, sired by a red and white Dutch Belted A2/A2 bull. I know this is a group dedicated to traditional/heritage Jerseys devotees so I offer this guy for sale thinking that maybe you know someone that might want/need a breeding prospect to use on their family milk cow. "Reddy" is READY or at least he thinks he is. Dutch Belted and Jersey breeds both breed early so he's separated from our weanling heifers for good reason!
He's vaccinated, dehorned, halter trained and has very good temperament. For a nice small genetics bull with high powered genetics for milk production, this guy has it all and he's pretty too. Right now he's really dark, almost black but in summer, he's more mahogany red. Don't you love his wooly head? Looks like he's wearing a big fur winter hat.... Photos of his dam available on request. Just curious. He is a handsome dude. We don't need a bull but I know how convenient it is to have a bull on the farm.
