And they look it too. They have been hiding and playing in my daylily, and smashing them flat. Never bloom at this rate.

Oh no! Boy your turn away for just a bit and they get into more mischief than you could ever guess. Dickens loves to chase the guineas and the cats. I've never tried throwing a large ball into the pen with them to see if they would play with it. Horses will. Mine two youngest have been calf-napping. It has been such a pleasant day here, not too hot, not too cool.

Speaking of hooligans, I have three of them: Larkspur, Lizzy, and Maybelle, but mostly Larkspur. I kept fortifying my apricot trees and finally one day last week he jumped ON the fences surrounding two trees bending a couple of sturdy posts. He then proceeded to eat two apricots trees. He'd had enough of my barriers. I'm not sure the girls dove in but he was caught red-handed. I had to pull him out by his hind legs beneath the fencing. So I've had enough of his fascination with wanting to go into forbidden territory--he and his cohorts have been in a separate area ever since. No more orchard clover.

But I've been watching them today have a blast chasing one lone raven who perches above them on the fence trying to get to their food. The raven scares them and then they scare the raven. Hours of fun.

Hooligans yes. I just ordered two more apricot trees.

I think more like "Flower Ninjas." I don't know how many Dahlias they've broken, little hooligans. If I don't put wire supports around just about everything they damage them.
