You might be able to purchase a trained-to-milk and stand politely A2A2 cow (also possibly polled) that isn't halter broke from Tim Covington at http://www.covingtonjerseys.com/. He's somewhat close to where you are. Both Janet and I bought cows from him recently and are very pleased. The fact that they aren't halter broke (I bought two cows) isn't posing too much of a problem because they're trained milkers. Once they landed here and got used to a routine, they go exactly where I need them to go. Loading them in a trailer is probably still problematic. The cows I purchased do not use their heads or their back feet and I trust them to be around my granddaughters.
