Any one every done this or something similar? It seems like if it works, then it would be less traumatic and easier to do! Wouldn't work on a heifer for obvious reasons! Poor Betsy will still need a regular blood test. |

Posted - Jan 03 2016 : 3:11:23 PM I am thinking I will try this method with Clover. I just need to wait another 21 days before I can. Unfortunately, I cannot do this for Betsy this year ... It just sounds like so much less stress for all involved: cows and humans.
Why can't there be a urine test for cow pregnancy? I'd even rather wait it out with Betsy, waiting for that waterfall, instead of a blood draw. |

Posted - Jan 03 2016 : 12:16:25 PM I've never done it because I'm getting to the point with my older cows I know when they're pregnant but not always with my heifers. Although with my heifer Lacy Lou, I'm sure she's pregnant because going into heat was so distinct with her. Sounds MUCH better than a blood draw. |
