Born around 5 a.m.
Popped in to let you know. Headed back down to milk and watch for afterbirth. All is well so far. Waiting on a name until I consult with my grandgirls. |

MaryJane, was Anna the cow you knew would have a heifer or is that M'Lady? |

Okay, I found it. Anna was the cow you didn't know the sex. So that means you will have another heifer from M'Lady. Wahoooo! You will have plenty of heifers for the grand girls to work with this summer/fall. Hello Cindy! Good to see you this morning. Looks like we're all celebrating the new calf birth. |

Good memory, Janet. Yes, this could have been a boy, so another girl yet to come! The grandgirls came out to meet her before breakfast and school. Happy May Day indeed!!!!!!! And Anna is every bit the fantastic momma and even licked me a couple of times during delivery. I felt 100% comfortable around her (I was a little worried--she's a big girl.)

Nothing better than grand girls and new calves in the morning, and sunshine smiling on all of you! Grand day indeed. Looks like she is gonna have those long legs too. Can't wait for more photos as things progress. Thanks again MaryJane for taking the time to post the birth announcement and photos. Love it. Try to get some rest yourself now. Sit and enjoy them all for a while. Soak it all in. |

This is Anna AFTER milking. Obviously, I'll be milking her again tonight.
Momma and baby (she weighed 64#).
Nap time.

I think Millie and unnamed calf could be twins. Wow! That's and udder. Yes a nap and I see the peek of sunshine. So sweet. |

Well, they do have the same father, Zorro PP. Her coat is quite red. Is Millie's more red than fawn/brown/tan? |
