In the last two pages of my children's book Moo-n Over Main Street Metropolis, I created a project for kids so they can have their very own Jersey cow. All they have to do is make a copy of the cow in the book (shown below) in color onto cardstock, write their cow's name on her pinafore, cut her out, take a photo of the two of them together, and mail or e-mail it to us. We'll post some of the photos here.

If you would like to join in the fun, click the image below to download a PDF and follow the instructions.

Finding this just made my day, Ginger. So wonderful in every way. I visited your Facebook page and absolutely love what you're doing. Thanks for sharing your marvelous lifestyle with us, from bees to cows to Kendall and of course, Ice Cream.

Kendall is a beautiful name. Meet my granddaughter, also named Kendall! Our Kendall named her cow, Ice Cream. (she's holding a plastic ice cream cone she loves to take everywhere, along with her cow)

We love the Adopt-A-Cow Project! Way to go, Mary Jane!

Cutie Pies, both Kendall and Mia the cow! Love how she decorated the apron on her Mia cow.

Jillian and Rosetta of Tennessee with their cows, Betsy and Old Red.

"We did a fun thing with the cows because the girls wanted to use them on their desks in their school room at home. So I took a little block of wood and cut a slot in it; the girls mounted popsicle sticks on the back of the cows to make them stable and now they stand up!"

Right as fresh cow milk I'd say. Really cute. Okay Ron, waiting for your picture with your cut-out cow.
