Posted - Aug 17 2016 : 6:18:27 PM Well took the cows in for their health checkups, and everyone passed with flying colors, which made me feel as happy as a lark. Cupid, Valentine's bull from this spring has his horns removed, which bless my vets heart she did such a good job removing them he didn't even make a sound of discomfort. Penny is due to calve in just a few weeks to mr.Cassidy which was the breeding I Had been waiting for YIPPPEEEE!!!!! Took pictures of all the bovines after I had brought them into the stocks and washed and cleaned everyone up before their appointment this week as well as our newest addition to the cattle family, her name is Dahlia and she is a 3.5 month old Red Angus X Brown Swiss heifer and she is BIG.....YES it was a spur of the moment purchase but her mother was a drop dead gorgeous brown Swiss cow and I was hooked after seeing this calfs brindle markings coming in, she will be AI bred to a beef bull for a freezer camp steer I hope, but that is much, much later down the road... Anyway I want to wish everyone a happy and relaxing week. Hope to catch you all again soon. Kade.
